Why are creative approvals needed?
Creative approvals are required to access premium publisher inventory. Publishers want to protect the user experience across their website, so they require any advertiser placing ads on their website to ensure their ads are brand safe and do not link to any malicious content
Creative Approval Process
When applying new creative, whether submitting a new campaign or rotating creative into an existing one, there is an approval process that takes place before the new creative can start serving impressions.
The approval process happens automatically, and consists of the primary Supply Vendors checking for compatibility and ensuring all legal requirements are met. The turnaround time ranges from 4hrs - 24hrs.
Most Common Disapproved Creative Reasons
When your ad creative is not approved, you will be notified by Terminus’ Support team via email. The email will include an explanation of why your creative was not approved. Once changes are applied, the creative can be re-submitted for approval.
The following table describes some of the primary reasons creative may not be approved.

Insufficient Brand Notification |
To be compliant, the company brand must be clear beyond all doubt. This reason for disapproval happens when:

Creative Not Secure |
Many sites require SSL compliance—that is, for creatives to be served using only secure calls over https (This applies to the creative landing page) |
Length of Animation |
The length of animated ads must not exceed 30 seconds. The ads are to become stagnant from looping after the 30-second mark. |
Broken URL/Landing Page Error |
When the assigned clickthrough URL to the creative is not working properly, or when clicking on the ad leads to an error page. |
Inaccurate Ad Text |
The creative contains text that is unclear, inaccurate or does not align to the landing page. |
Video Specific |

Unsupported Length |
The length of the video creative is not supported. Only lengths of 15, 30, or 60 seconds are accepted |
Unsupported Format |
The format of the video creative is not supported |
