Depending on your Email Experiences environment, recipient analytics functionality (our more advanced analytic offering) varies slightly. It is only supported by Windows Outlook Agent v1.0.3 or higher, Gmail in combination with the Terminus Chrome Extension, and Sigstr ONE.
Windows Outlook Agent
With Windows Outlook Agent, recipient analytics are captured in all 1:1 emails sent from a desktop Outlook environment. Recipient analytics are not captured when emails are sent from Outlook Web Access or mobile email applications.
When emailing multiple external recipients at a single account domain, recipient analytics will be captured. However, the exact individual who engages with the campaign will not be reported. In this scenario, any click will be reported as "someone" (i.e. someone@terminus.com clicked on your campaign).
Recipient analytics will not be captured when emailing multiple recipients at numerous external domains. Clicks and views will still be recorded, but Email Experiences will not report who the engagements came from.
Copying or adding an internal recipient to an email will not impact recipient analytics in any way.
Mac Outlook Agent
Mac Outlook Agent does not support recipient analytics functionality.
Chrome Extension
For Gmail customers using the Chrome Extension, recipient analytics are captured in all 1:1 emails sent from Gmail on Chrome. Recipient analytics are not captured when emails are sent from Inbox, the Gmail mobile app, or a different browser.

With Sigstr ONE, recipient analytics are captured in ALL SCENARIOS assuming that all end users are being routed through the MTA. That means you can capture recipient analytics when sending from any email client on any platform to any number of email recipients.

This owned data, (which includes form fills tracked in Site Engagements, Email Experiences Recipients, Email Experiences Senders, and IPs collected from Terminus Chat Experiences), is never static and gets stronger with every interaction and with every channel that’s added.
While these capabilities have tons of positive benefits for our customers, including improvements in account match rates and targeting, we understand that some users may want to opt-out of being tracked. To request to be removed from Recipient Analytics tracking, please submit a support request via the Terminus Help Center.
