To ease administrative duties and ensure customers are focused on value-add activities within the application, Terminus offers an Employee Automation API. The API provides customers with a secure, dedicated service that streamlines the management of users and employee signature data within an Email Experiences account. By leveraging the API, customers are no longer tasked with manually importing and editing employee information on a consistent basis.
When employee data is delivered to the API endpoint, Terminus creates, updates, and removes employees as indicated, in real time. Data can be sent to the API as often as desired, from any data source. For Active Directory customers, Terminus will work with a customer’s IT team, to integrate with On-Prem or O365 Active Directory to ensure that the most up-to-date data is routinely synced to Email Experiences.
As of July 2022, a newer version (v4) of the Employee API is available. When enabled any changes made to Employee Groups using the Employee Automation API will no longer overwrite the existing selections made by the admin directly in the user interface. This feature is disabled by default but can be enabled under Integrations → Employee API Settings.
Please note: This updated functionality with v4 does not apply to group data synced using the Azure Active Directory Integration.
All functionality made available in earlier versions (i.e. create, update and remove) is still functional with this newer version.
