Prerequisites
Pardot O-Auth Access is required to use this integration, which is only available in the Plus and Advanced editions of Pardot.
In order to leverage the SigstrEngagements custom object, it may require a higher-tier Pardot account (Pardot Advanced Edition).
Overview
To enhance your targeting capabilities, the Pardot integration allows marketers to import Prospect Lists to Email Experiences to align to campaigns now and in the future. Depending on how you’ve segmented users in your Pardot environment, this opens up endless opportunities. Most notably, the ability to align Email Experiences campaigns to specific stages of your sales cycle. You can do things like:
- Align Email Experiences campaigns to specific Pardot Prospect Lists (static or dynamic)
- Create new Prospects that don't already exist when they click on an Email Experiences campaign banner (optional functionality)
Authentication
The instructions below detail how to connect your Pardot account to Email Experiences.
Step 1 - Log into Email Experiences and Navigate to Integrations
Navigate to Account Settings on the bottom left, proceed to “Integrations”, and click on the “CRMs” tab.
Step 2 - Authenticate with Pardot Email Experiences
Click “Connect” which will automatically re-direct you to the Pardot O-Auth workflow. Follow the prompts on the workflow.
Step 3 - Retrieve Your Pardot Business ID
In order to complete the integration, you must also enter your Pardot Business ID. In your Pardot Account, go to Setup -> Pardot -> Pardot Account Setup.
Once there, copy and paste your Unique Business ID to your clipboard.
Step 4: Add Business ID to Email Experiences
Navigate back to the same CRM Screen where you authenticated and copy your Business ID into the text box in addition to your Pardot API Version. Then hit - “Activate”
Now that you are authenticated - you should be able to import and update lists in Email Experiences from Pardot.
Step 5 (Optional): Automatically Create New Prospects
If you would like Email Experiences to automatically create NEW prospects in Pardot (that don't already exist), you can check the box to enable this. When a recipient clicks on an Email Experiences campaign banner, it will create a new prospect in Pardot if one doesn't exist (based on the email address).
These newly created Prospects can then be placed into Prospect Lists manually, or use an Automation Rule to put them into a specific dynamic Prospect List.
