How your IT organization deploys software will depend on the tools and solutions currently used to perform this kind of activity.
Every IT environment is unique, and Terminus partners with your IT department to provide suggestions on the best way to execute centralized Agent deployments.
We frequently see customers have success using deployment tools like System Center Config Manager (SCCM), Group Policy (GPO), InTune, KACE, and JAMF.
Windows Installation
Please note: The information below pertains to organizations leveraging the classic desktop version of Outlook for Windows and Outlook Agent Version 6.5.0 or older. If using the new Outlook for Windows desktop, please refer to this article for central deployment steps for Outlook Agent Version 7.0.0.
The Windows Outlook Agent can be installed via an EXE or one of two MSI installers.
If MSI installers are being used, they must be deployed individually, and only to machines with the matching bit version of MS Office (not Windows).
For example: If a machine is running 32-Bit MS Office, only our 32-bit MSI installer should be run there.
The EXE package Terminus provides does detection to figure out what version is running and runs the appropriate installer.

Mac Installation
Email Experiences can be deployed for Outlook for Mac 2016, using a variety of tools such as JAMF. Terminus provides a pre-packaged PKG installer file to facilitate this.
If you would like to implement the Outlook Agent, please see additional information on System Requirements.
