Setting and Updating Media Spend Budgets


In the Terminus Engage platform, customers can set media spend budgets at the individual advertising tactic level.

When launching a new advertising tactic, customers can set both a daily and an overall budget. While daily budgets are required, overall budgets are optional.

Daily and overall budgets can be adjusted at any time once a tactic has been launched, by navigating to the tactic detail page (for display, retargeting, and IP-based tactics) and selecting the pencil icons next to the budget amounts:

For LinkedIn tactics, customers can select the "Edit Tactic" option in the tactic details page to update budgets and bid amounts:

Reporting on Terminus Media Spend 


Terminus customers can easily report on media spend across their different advertising campaigns for any given timeframe. 

In the Campaign Overview page, total media spend, as well as spend by tactic/campaign, can be viewed for pre-set or custom date ranges:

To view more granular spend data for each tactic (daily spend, account-level spend, and spend by creative size), navigate to the Tactic Detail Page by clicking on the tactic name. 
 


Terminus Media Spend Billing Options


One option for customers is to prepay a set budget for their media spend. For this option, customers estimate their media spend over a period of time (3-month, 6-month, or 12-month period) and prepay that amount. We track your actual usage each month against the prepaid balance and will send your team a reminder when you are approaching a low balance for your prepaid amount. Any remaining spend at the end of the time period selected (3-month, 6-month or 12-month period) rolls over; this amount never expires.
 
As an alternative to prepaid invoicing, we do offer monthly payments via credit card. For this, we initiate a charge to the card on file at the beginning of each month for the previous month's actual media spend. FAQs


Can I view my Terminus invoices and billing information directly in the platform?

  • Currently, billing and invoicing information is not directly available in the Terminus platform. Please reach out to billing@terminus.com for any billing questions and requests, and we'd be happy to help!


Can I set budget across all tactics in a campaign? Or have my total budget distributed across all of my advertising tactics, as needed?

  • Currently, budgets (daily and overall) can only be set at the individual tactic level. If you need assistance with this, please work with your Terminus Onboarding Specialist or Customer Success Manager to discuss best practices on budget allocation. 


Is my media spend included my in monthly Terminus platform fees?

  • No; Terminus media spend is billed separately from your platform and services fees.
