How to Verify Data Alignment between Terminus Hub and Your CRM/Marketing Automation Software


The following instructions can be used to verify that the data within your Terminus Hub instance is mapping correctly from your connected CRM and marketing automation systems.
If you’ve set up any account, opportunity or campaign exclusions during your configuration, keep that in mind while you’re comparing datasets. As a refresher, refer to your Configuration settings within the application menu for additional details.  

 

OPPORTUNITY ALIGNMENT

Compare Total Closed Won Revenue Amounts

  • Navigate to the Opportunity Insights page
  • Select the Closed Won dataset
  • Choose a completed time cohort such as Last Full Quarter
  • Proceed without choosing a Marketing Influence level, so that all opportunities are being pulled in, regardless of marketing influence

  • Scroll to the bottom of the table and confirm the “Total Amount” aligns with your total closed won revenue in your CRM

Compare Total Created Opportunity Amounts

  • Within the Opportunity Insights:
    • Select the Created Dataset.
    • Choose an active time cohort such as Quarter to Date
    • Proceed without choosing a Marketing Influence level, so that all opportunities are being pulled in, regardless of marketing influence

  • Scroll to the bottom of the table and confirm the “Total Amount” aligns with your total created opportunity values in your CRM

Spot Check Specific Opportunity Contacts

  • Within Opportunity Insights, look at a specific opportunity in the table
  • Open the same opportunity within your CRM and confirm the total number of opportunity contacts associated
  • Next, confirm the total number total contacts associated with the opportunity account in your CRM
  • Repeat against a few opportunities

ACCOUNT ALIGNMENT

Confirm Total Number of Accounts within Terminus

  • Navigate to the Account Hub page
  • Select an All-Time Dataset
  • Ensure the Action Table is set to show "All Accounts"
  • Scroll to the bottom of the first page and align the total number of items to the total number of accounts within your CRM

Confirm Specific Account Metrics

  • Within the Account Hub, select a specific account by clicking on the account name hyperlink
  • Within the Account Specific page view, confirm the “Account Info” (owner, total open opportunity value and total closed won revenue) aligns with the data within your CRM

  • Click the “Opportunities” tab and confirm that the total number of opportunities, in any status, aligns to the total number of opportunities associated with this account

  • Spot check a few different Accounts

 

CAMPAIGN ALIGNMENT (Terminus Advanced Analytics customers only)

Compare Campaign Analytics with CRM / MA Campaigns

  • Navigate to the Campaign Analytics page
  • Select the “Campaigns That...” dataset
  • Select a time dataset
  • Click on the All Campaign tab

  • Compare all of the campaigns listed in the All Campaigns view to campaigns with the same starting date in your marketing automation platform



Compare Campaign Member Responses within a Specific Campaign

  • Within Campaign Analytics, select a specific campaign by clicking on the campaign name hyperlink
  • Ensure that the Campaign Type in Terminus aligns to the Campaign Type listed in your CRM 
  • Next, confirm that the total number of campaign member respondents aligns with the total number of leads and contacts with a successful campaign member response in your CRM

  • Spot check against several campaigns, within different Campaign Types
