Overview
We’re excited to announce the introduction of advanced reporting functionality that provides greater flexibility and deeper insights into your data, including:
-
Compare to Prior Period: Analyze trends by comparing current date cohort data with the same number of days from the previous period, offering direct trend comparisons in the reporting table for key metrics.
-
Dynamic Report Filtering Panel: Customize data views by filtering primary objects and sub-objects, apply inclusion/exclusion criteria, and use additional operators for more granular analysis. This feature also allows filtering by segments and other detailed data points.
These enhancements streamline your reporting and help optimize campaign performance across multiple reports.
Compare to Prior Period:
This feature enhancement is currently supported on the following reports:
- Keyword Intent (Data Studio)
- Site Visits - CRM Accounts Tab (Measurement Studio)
Dynamic Report Filtering Panel:
Note: Other Terminus reports within Ad Experiences, Data Studio, and Measurement Studio that are not listed above will continue to use our existing Global Filters panel, which functions slightly differently. Click here to learn more about how our Global Filters work.
Filtering by column results
By clicking the filter icon on the right bar, you can narrow down your results based on the field values.
For example, you can limit results to only accounts that had more than one form fill AND more than one download by using the sliders:
Alternatively, you can exclude any accounts that had at least one form fill by clicking the ≠ icon:
Adding additional field operators
By default, field filters will be assigned certain operators based on the primary use case. For example, numeric fields will have "Is Between" by default as it covers most filtering needs. However in some cases you might want additional criteria. To add new operators, hit the "edit active filters" button.
This will enable additional operators.
To add those operators to your filter panel, check the box to the left of them and hit done:
Additionally, you can remove or duplicate operators by clicking the appropriate icons:
Adding additional fields for filtering
In addition to filtering on table values, you may also add fields from anywhere across the Terminus ecosystem for filtering. To start, click the "+" icon in the filter pane:
To add a field, simply check the box next to it. For example, you might want to see site engagement for all accounts with an open opportunity. To do this, you would hit add filters, select the desired field, and use the slider to set the values to more than one:
Additionally, you can add this field to the table by clicking the column editor and selecting your desired field:
FAQ
-
How do I know which filtering panel I am using?
To distinguish between filtering panels, observe the name displayed at the top. The legacy Global Filters panel, titled "Global Filters," is commonly visible across Data & Measurement Studio pages. Conversely, the new Report Filtering panel, titled "Filters," can be identified on the report listed within the Overview section.

Do both filtering panels have the same functionality?
There are a few features that are not yet supported in our new reporting panel, but we are actively working on adding them:
-
Saved filters and sticky sessions
-
Alternate Object Fields like Opportunities (currently, we only support account data fields)
