How to Use the Intent Surge Report
View by Account:
View by Topic:
- Accessing the Report: Navigate to Data Studio > Intent Navigator and select Intent Surges tab. By default, you will see the Keyword Intent report. To locate Intent Surges, click on the tab to the right.
- Alternate Data Views: Choose to view your report data by Account or Topic
- Applying Date Filters: Select the date range you want to analyze. You can choose from predefined ranges such as "Last 7 Days" or "Last 30 Days," or set custom date ranges to fit your needs. This helps you focus on recent trends or compare different periods.
- Using Account-Level Filters: Filter the data by specific accounts to narrow down surge information. This allows you to see which accounts are most actively engaging with particular topics.
- Using Topic-Level Filters: Filter the data by specific topics to narrow down surge information. This allows you to see which topics are surging most recently and frequently.
- Using Report Filters: Apply additional report filters on the right side of the screen. You can include or exclude accounts based on criteria such as Engagement Funnel stage, CRM fields, and Global Filters using the sidebar filtering panel.
- Adding Columns of Data: To add columns of data, click the button and select the columns you want to include in your report.
- Exporting Data: To export data, directly export the filtered results into a CSV by clicking the button above the data table.
Interpreting the Data
- Trending Topics: The report will highlight which topics are currently trending among your selected accounts. This helps you understand the current interests and focus areas of these accounts.
- Active Accounts: Identify which accounts are most actively surging in specific topics. This indicates heightened interest or emerging needs in those areas.
- Identify Accounts Surging on Multiple Topics: Easily spot accounts experiencing intent surges across multiple topics when viewing by account.

Top Accounts by Total Number of Surging Topics: See which accounts are demonstrating the most intent by surging across the highest number of topics when viewing by account.

Top Intent Topics Over Time: Track the leading intent topics and observe their trends and changes over time when viewing by topic.

Top Accounts with Highest Number of Topics Showing Increased Intent: See which topics are surging the most based on the accounts with the highest number of increased intent topics when viewing by topic.
